Historic Building Details
Designed by architect Torcuato Cayón in 1736-1745, the property was once part of Cádiz's merchant aristocracy. Original Carrara marble and mahogany elements remain alongside restored galleries and staircases. The façade features 12 compositional axes and a later-added tower. Protected as Architectural Heritage (Category 2), it underwent renovation by Vilches Arquitectos to add an elevator and adapt units while preserving structural details like corner guards and fencing.
Central Old Town Location
The apartments are steps from Puertas de Tierra (0.5 km), the historic city gate, and the Falla Theater (1.4 km). Nearby landmarks include Arco del Populo (0.5 km), Plaza de las Flores (1 km), and La Caleta beach (1.4 km). Cádiz Cathedral and the bus station are in the Old Town district.
